Contemporary Shadow Programme (Schools)

Bayang Troupe focuses on Contemporary Shadow Puppetry and we enjoy imparting the skills and knowledge of making simple shadow puppet performance to our youths.

We do not focus on traditional shadow puppetry (Wayang Kulit) as through our journey overseas, we have discovered that shadow puppetry goes beyond that. We would like our youths to have that opportunity to express their creativity in creating their own contemporary shadow puppets and stories that can teach and help them understand many social issues that they can and will encounter throughout their journey in life.

Our sessions are flexible and can be customised as well. Ranging from 1 session to 10 sessions, we will be able to adjust and customise this programme according to your desired schedule. The programme can be conducted in both English and Malay and available for ALL levels (Pre-schools, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary). It is also available f2f and online.

Contemporary Shadow Workshop (Community / Public)

Bayang Troupe conducts Contemporary Shadow Workshop out of a classroom as well. Through experience, parents love to have this programme to be conducted as a family with their children.

This programme has been conducted in Community Centres, Libraries, Tertiary institutions, corporate companies and even in a pre-school setting. We are happy to conduct our sessions at your event and location.

It can be conducted in both English and / or Malay. It is also suited for everyone regardless of age. From young to the elderly, we will get everyone to work as a family and a team to create a great shadow puppet performance.

Our sessions are flexible and can be customised as well. We will be able to adjust and customise this programme according to your desired programme and event. It is also available f2f and online.
